The Quayside at night provides a spectacular urban light show. Experience this from the water, on an illuminated sit-on kayak, the most unique way to see Newcastle & Gateshead from its iconic river. Experienced and knowledgeable kayak guides are on hand throughout to keep you safe and show you all the best bits.

Please note: “Wetsuits aren't provided. Wear lightweight outdoor/fitness clothing with warm layers. We supply a waterproof cag and trousers to wear on top. You will be asked to wear a helmet so a think bandana or Buff worn underneath can help keep your head warm. You should expect to get wet feet and a wet bottom! Bring a towel and change of clothes for afterwards.” Waiver forms must be completed before the event & participants must be able to swim.
