⚽ Intramural Football Leagues – Registration Now Open! ⚽ 

Northumbria Sport is excited to offer Intramural Football Leagues as part of our student sport programme. These leagues run throughout the full academic year and are supported by our dedicated Intramural Football Activators (Student Interns).

Whether you're looking for a fun way to stay active or a competitive outlet with friends, our student-only leagues strike the perfect balance between social and competitive sport. No matter your experience level, you'll make unforgettable memories on and off the pitch.

Choose from our 5, 7, or 11-a-side league.

Registration Guidance:

⚽ Sign up via the online registration form (captains only)

⚽ Make payment: once your captain has signed up via the online form, all players will be sent the link to make payment and confirm your space in the league. 

Eligibility:

All players must be Northumbria University students enrolled for the 2025/26 academic year.

Additional Information: 

⚽ Teams compete for league glory and trophies – with some leagues featuring knockout cup competitions.

⚽ All fixtures, results, and tables are updated weekly via the Playwaze App – all players must download it.

⚽ Each team will have a nominated captain responsible for admin, attending pre-season meetings, checking fixtures, and reporting injuries.

⚽ All football games are held at top-quality facilities, based at our Coach Lane Sports Ground – fully equipped with changing facilities, showers, toilets, and a mix of 3G, grass pitches, and an indoor sports hall.

Course Description

Full Academic Year Leagues (15th October-9th May):

⚽5-a-side - Fridays, Coach Lane Sports Hall 17:30pm-22:00pm (Kick off times will vary for each team on a weekly basis)

⚽7-a-side - Saturdays, Coach Lane 3G 9:30am-13:30pm (Kick off times will vary for each team on a weekly basis)

⚽11-a-side - Wednesdays, Coach Lane Grass Pitches 11:00am-14:45pm (Kick off times will vary for each team on a weekly basis)
