Northumbria University OSCE Preparation Training Programme. 

3 x weeks self learning and 2 x weeks face to face in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. 

Course Description

Northumbria University are now running a 5 x week OSCE Preparation Programme for adult nursing candidates at an introductory offer of £1500 plus VAT per candidate. 

We offer a comprehensive programme giving candidates theory and practice of both written and skills stations to successfully pass the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). 

Learning Outcomes:
1. The candidate will be able to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate safe health care using the latest evidence-based practice in accordance with the NMC (2024) ‘The Code: Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nurses, Midwives, and Nursing Associates.
2. The candidate will have the required knowledge and skills to undertake Part 2 of the NMC Test of Competence for Nurses and Midwives 2021.
3. The candidate will appreciate the culture and values of both the NHS and Social Care Provision within the UK.

Programme: 

Week 1 (Self-directed study) Tue 22nd April – Fri 25th April 2025	Pre-course reading and workbook activity. A minimum of 8 hours study per week to run concurrently alongside a candidate’s clinical practice (if any). To attend 1 online Q & A tutorial each week
Week 2 (Self-directed study)   Mon 28th April – Fri 2nd May 2025	Pre-course reading and workbook activity. A minimum of 8 hours study per week to run concurrently alongside a candidate’s clinical practice (if any). To attend 1 online Q & A tutorial each week
Week 3 (Self-directed study) Tue 6th May – Fri 9th May 2025	Pre-course reading and workbook activity. A minimum of 8 hours study per week to run concurrently alongside a candidate’s clinical practice (if any). To attend 1 online Q & A tutorial each week
Week 4 (Face to Face) Tue 12th May – Fri 16th May 2025	7-station mock OSCE, to include APIE, skills, and written stations and feedback
Week 5 (Face to Face)  Tue 19th May – Fri 23rd May 2025	APIE and skills training, to include equipment demo, station demo by trainer and return demo by candidate. Daily opportunities for Q & A and ongoing pastoral care. *Optional reservation to book OSCE Exam at 08:15am at £794 additoanl cost.

 * Please advise when booking if you wish to reserve the OSCE exam on Friday 23rd May 2025 following the completion of the Northumbria Univeristy OSCE Prep Training.
